We hereby inform you that the venue and office hours of the authority in charge of authentication and notarization of certificates destined for abroad use have changed as follows:

 

Office hours:

Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8:30 – 11:30

Take bus 33, 103, 133 and 233 to Hengermalom út stop.

 

Certificates destined for abroad use can exclusively be authenticated, notarized and supplemented by an Apostille only if they were issued prior to March 1, 2006.

 

If you are not the person (the certified person or his/ her legally authorized representative) acting, a written legal authorization is required.

 

Authentication and notarization service fee:  

2000 HUF paid by stamp duty attached to the request form.

 

We hereby draw your attention to the fact that stamp duties cannot be purchased on location. The nearest post office where stamp duties are sold is located in Újbuda Center (1117 Budapest, Hengermalom út 19-21.(Opposite of the Office)).

 

Apostilles can be requested at and provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Please be informed that availability of the electronic administration platform of the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing (hereinafter referred to as NDGAP), Enter Hungary (www.enterhungary.gov.hu) is temporarily limited due to technical problems. As a result, uploading applications and attachments might take longer than usual and problems can also occur while using the payment system.

 

The colleagues of the NDGAP are working on the troubleshooting and the full recovery of the service is expected by 10:00 o’clock, 2 May 2024 the latest.

 

We apologise for any inconveniences caused by the malfunction in our application platform service.
