Temporary longer waiting times may occur at client service offices

Dear Esteemed Clients and Persons Waiting for Administrative Services,

Please be informed that, due to the elevated number of clients with regards to the significant increase in study-related applications, as well as periodic slowdowns and occasional IT disruptions experienced in some of our specialized systems over the past few days, longer waiting times should be expected at some of our larger client service offices.

For this reason, clients without a scheduled appointment will only be received after those with booked appointments, which may lead to longer waiting times. Booking an appointment is still possible only via the www.oif.gov.hu website.

Please note that allocation of queue numbers at our client service offices may be completed before the end of opening hours, based on the decision of the manager in charge, if it is no longer possible to provide services to more clients during opening hours due to the large number of arriving clients.

We are constantly working on the resolution of the issue and are doing our best to reduce waiting times, as well as the inconveniences caused by longer administrative processing times, and to return to the previously established system of handling applications.

Please pay more attention to the validity of your documents, the deadlines stipulated by law, and to initiate necessary procedures in due time to avoid any issues caused by potentially longer waiting times.
